Recently, I got the problem of volume spike when changing programs. Generally I use speakers that plug into a jack in my laptop and it identified as a headphone where I have the option to disable enhancements to remove these sound spikes but somehow it automatically changes to speakers and the got disappear. Do you have any solution to fix this issue? If yes then kindly help me in this.

In laptop there are generally two ports one for audio and other for microphone, it might happen that you have inserted the audio jack in the wrong port. If still the problem persists then open the Control Panel, then under the hardware and sound option search for the option – Manage Audio devices and click on it. A new window will pop up, and click on the tab Recording and select the option Line In, then click on Apply and Ok. And check whether the problem is resolved or not. If still the problem persist, then in that case, you have to uninstall and then reinstall the sound driver.
